Oriole Park at Camden Yards
Baltimore, MD
Team: Baltimore Orioles
Affiliation: Themselves
Capacity: 48,262
Built: 1992
Year First Visited: 2000

I don't normally write reviews for major league parks.  But, Oriole Park at Camden Yards is one of the few that deserves at least a mention.  It's not a classic - yet - but it sparked a "retrolution" of sorts in classic ballpark design.  When the design team of Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum designed this place, they marked a return to the classic style of ballpark.  The two most distinctive features are that they utilized a baseball-only design, and they incorporated characteristics from the existing location.  There have been improvements made to this design since Baltimore's new palace opened in 1992, but almost every ballpark that has been built since has taken its cue from Oriole Park.

The day I was there, they handed out orange umbrellas as a promotion,
and, of course, it rained!
