Beehive Field was formally the home
of the New Britain Red Sox (and for one year, the Hardware City
Rock Cats), but it was benched when the New Britain team became
the Rock Cats and built a stadium literally a foul ball
away. The two are so close that you can see either stadium
from the stands of the other.
This was probably a fine park in
its day, but in a league where three fourths of the stadiums were
built in the 90s, its time had definitely come.

As the sign indicates, Beehive Field is now
a high school stadium
